Terms of Service
These terms govern a Friday install, provided by Ashley Verdant Limited (a New Zealand company, trading as Friday). A Friday install is a one-time service: we set up an AI accounts-payable system on your own computer, and you own it from then on. Booking an install means you accept these terms.
1. The service and the fee
You pay a one-time install fee as quoted to you in writing, plus GST, due per our invoice. There are no subscriptions, per-bill charges, or other ongoing fees payable to us. The install covers setup of the system on your computer, staff handover, and a week-one check-in call.
2. Warranty
For 30 days from the install date, we fix miscodings and configuration faults in the installed system free of charge. Report them to cooper@usefriday.co.nz and we will put them right.
3. Support after the warranty
After the 30-day warranty, support is available at $180 per hour plus GST, or as a prepaid pack of five hours for $795 plus GST. There is no obligation to buy either; the system keeps running without us.
4. You own the system
The installed system, its configuration, and all of your data belong to you. It runs on your computer, your Claude (Anthropic) subscription, your Gmail, and your Xero. We host nothing and keep no access to your systems after the install. There is nothing to cancel with us because there is nothing ongoing.
5. Your responsibilities
- You approve every bill. The system only ever creates drafts in Xero. It cannot approve, post, or pay anything. Reviewing and approving drafts is your job, and we accept no liability for bills you approve.
- Your subscriptions. Your Claude plan (paid directly to Anthropic) and your Xero plan are yours, in your name, on your card.
- Your machine. The system runs on your computer and only works while it is on with the required software open. Keeping it running is up to you.
6. Accuracy
The system is designed to flag anything it is not sure about to a Review sheet rather than guess, but we do not guarantee any specific accuracy rate. It is a drafting assistant, not a bookkeeper or accountant, and the final review of every bill is yours.
7. Ending an engagement
Either of us can end an engagement at any time before the install takes place, and any deposit you have paid will be returned in full. After the install is done, the fee is payable and the system is yours.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and any dispute will be handled in New Zealand. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where those apply.
